2013 Cannes Film Festival Blog day 3

The Cannes film festival is certainly pretty consistent this year. Following a day about adolescence (Young and Beautiful, The Bling Ring), this third day was all about families. Asghar Farhadi’s The Past deals with reconstructed families and secrets while Kore Eda Hirokazu’s Like Father Like Son is about two families which babies were swapped at birth.

Apart from that, it seems that Coppola’s bad girls got some followers as 1 million euros worth of  jewelry was stolen from hotel room on the Croisette – sometimes, true stories are based on fiction …
