The Hunger Blu Ray release

The Hunger Blu Ray

This week, we are back to normal with some interesting releases starting with Italian filmmaker Franco Ferreri’s La Grande Bouffe. Known for its excessive debauchery – food, wine and sex – , the film offers an incisive critique of bourgeoisie. Another Blu-Ray release that caught my attention is Lambert and Stamp, the story of the two aspiring filmmakers who discovered The Who and became their managers.

This Week’s Pick

Unsurprisingly, our pick this week goes to Tony Scott’s debut The Hunger, a cult and artsy vampire movie starring David Bowie and French cinema goddess Catherine Deneuve (Belle de Jour). Rather than go on about it, I’ll let you read our Hunger review here.
