New Blu Ray Releases This Week: October 27th 2015

Here are our Top 3 blu-ray releases for October 27th, this week bringing on Blu Ray some strong contenders:

Mulholland Dr.

Mulholland Dr blu ray releaseDavid Lynch’s Mulholland Dr. which is one of my favorite movies – I even had the poster hanging in my living room for years – is getting the A-list treatment courtesy of Criterion Collection. This hypnotic Lynchian cult film has been restored with a new 4K digital transfer, a 5.1 surround DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack and featured plenty of goodies: New interviews with David Lynch, Naomi Watts, Laura Harring, Angelo Badalamenti as well as trailers plus a booklet featuring an interview with Lynch. You can read my analysis of Mulholland Dr. here.

Tu Dors Nicole

tu dors nicole blu rayReleased last year, this little-seen Canadian movie is one of these hidden gems that take you by surprise with their beautiful, naturalistic simplicity. A bittersweet work offering a witty portrait of kids who feel like outcasts, Tu Dors Nicole manages to amuse and seduce you with its apparent dull environment. You can watch the trailer here or read our full review.
